About the font Karina

Karina is a humanist sans with a calligraphic, slightly flared structure and Cyrillic: the letters are open and wide with mild stroke modulation, small flicks at the terminals, a tall x-height and a gentle, friendly rhythm. The preview shows capitals, lowercase, figures and punctuation with a single-storey g and a curved ampersand; the categories list Cyrillic and Serif.

The soft, readable letters suit brochures, school and cultural materials, book subtitles, captions, menus and web text where a warm, humanist voice is wanted. At medium sizes the open shapes stay clear, and the weight is comfortable in short paragraphs, while for very long reading a dedicated text serif remains the safer choice.
