About the font Baskerville Bold

Baskerville Bold is the bold weight of a Baskerville-style transitional serif, the face named after John Baskerville's eighteenth-century types. It has sharp, fine serifs, high contrast between thick and thin strokes, nearly vertical stress and wide, round bowls; in this weight the thick strokes are strong and the hairlines stay fine. The preview shows capitals, lowercase, figures and punctuation, and Cyrillic is listed.

The tone is classic, authoritative and elegant, which made Baskerville a favourite for book covers, magazines, invitations, certificates and law or finance publications. It works for headings and emphasised text in a book setting. The fine hairlines can break down in small sizes on low-resolution screens.
