About the font Baskerville Bold Italic

Baskerville Bold Italic is a bold italic serif in the manner of Baskerville, with Latin and Cyrillic. The slanted letters have clear thick-and-thin contrast, fine, sharp serifs, a vertical stress and a refined, slightly narrow rhythm, and the bold weight gives a darker, firmer colour. Figures are lining and elegant.

It carries the classical, polished tone of eighteenth-century book printing, and is good for emphasis in books, subheadings, quotations, invitations, certificates and short headlines in Russian or English. The hairlines grow fragile at very small sizes, and a heavy italic is best kept to short passages.
