About the font Bangkok Bold

Bangkok Bold is a heavy flared display face with Latin and Cyrillic, tagged decorative. The letterforms recall Albertus or Optima-like flared strokes, with wide capitals, a broad stance, and tiny wedge serifs that give the impression of cut metal; the lowercase is lower and more compact, and the figures are bold.

The name suggests the East, and the solid, carved feel suits restaurant signs, cultural festivals, travel graphics, book titles and brand names with an exotic or monumental tone. It is a display face; in long text its weight and wide capitals look heavy.
