About the font Bangkok

Bangkok is a classical book-style serif with Cyrillic and Latin, listed under decorative fonts. The capitals are wide and stately, with flat, bracketed serifs and a measured contrast, and several letters, such as the R and the K, have a calligraphic leg; the lowercase is open and sturdy with a medium x-height, and the figures are lining. The punctuation set is complete and the tone is calm and traditional.

Despite the city name, nothing about it is exotic: it reads as a dignified roman for books, certificates, menus, cultural and museum material, and headings in Russian as well as Latin. It is comfortable at text size for a few paragraphs, and at larger sizes the wide capitals give a classical, slightly inscriptional feel.
