About the font Bahamas Heavy

Bahamas Heavy is a very heavy geometric display sans with Latin and Cyrillic, tagged decorative, in the spirit of Bauhaus-style type. The letters are built from circles and straight bars with thick, uniform strokes and tiny counters: round O, Q and G, a single-storey a and compact lowercase, with the capitals slightly wider; the figures are blunt and bold.

The chunky, optimistic geometry recalls 1970s advertising and school-of-design poster lettering, and suits headlines, logos, signs, packaging, posters and youth or retro branding. At small sizes the counters fill in, and long text in this weight is tiring, so keep it large and short.
