About the font Minion Cyrillic Semibold

Minion Cyrillic Semibold is a semibold cut of the Minion text serif, a Renaissance-inspired roman with sharp, bracketed serifs, moderate contrast and a compact, even rhythm, here with a Cyrillic alphabet that follows the same style. The semibold weight makes strokes sturdier than regular.

Minion is a familiar book face from Robert Slimbach at Adobe, in the tradition of Aldus and Garamond. This weight suits subheadings, emphasis, captions and running text in dense layouts, where it stays clear and dark enough. For very long text the regular weight is calmer, with the semibold keeping to emphasis and titles.
