About the font Minion Cyrillic Italic

Minion Cyrillic Italic is the italic of a Cyrillic extension of Minion, the classic Adobe text serif drawn by Robert Slimbach in 1990: calligraphic, slightly condensed and narrow, with a lively slant, flowing joins and a modest x-height. Cyrillic and Latin are both drawn in the same bookish spirit.

Minion was inspired by late Renaissance types, and its italic has that humanist grace. It is excellent for books, magazines, academic papers and long articles at text sizes, and for emphasis, quotes and captions beside the roman.
