About the font Luxor

Luxor is a very heavy slab-serif display face with blunt, thick rectangular serifs, tight counters and cut corners that give the black letters a stamped, block-like look. The capitals are wide and powerful, the lowercase is tall and dense, and the figures are bold and stable. Cyrillic and Russian letters are included along with the Latin, and the shapes keep their strength across both scripts.

It calls to mind wood type, circus bills, western wanted posters and old press headlines, and also modern brewery or workshop branding. Use it large and with generous leading: in small sizes or long passages the heavy slabs close up and become hard to read. It is best for a headline, a shop sign or a logo that should look solid and confident.
