About the font Literaturnaya Plain:001.001

Literaturnaya Plain:001.001 is a light, classical serif with Cyrillic and Latin, named after the Russian word for literary, a name that echoes the traditional book typeface of that name. The letters are slender with sharp, thin serifs and strong thick-thin contrast, the capitals are broad and stately, the lowercase is bookish with a modest x-height, and the figures are lining. The punctuation set is complete.

The contrast and refinement belong to the world of fiction and poetry: it suits book covers, literary magazines, poems, invitations, certificates and elegant headings, in Russian as well as Latin. It reads well at text sizes on good paper and screens. The hairline serifs fade at very small sizes and on poor printing, so give it enough size.
