About the font Journal Bold Italic

Journal Bold Italic is a sturdy bold italic serif in the tradition of newspaper and book faces such as Century. The strokes have moderate contrast and the letters are slightly wide, with a solid, confident slant. Latin and Cyrillic are included.

It works for emphasis inside serif text, subheads, captions, pull quotes and classic magazine layouts. The bold italic holds up well at modest sizes, giving a clear but traditional voice without becoming fussy.
