About the font Journal Bold Cyrillic

Journal Bold Cyrillic is a bold serif in the Scotch Roman and Century tradition of newspaper and magazine text faces: high stroke contrast, vertical stress, bracketed serifs, a large x-height and a sturdy weight designed to hold up in print. The preview shows complete Latin capitals, lowercase, figures and punctuation in a classic, slightly formal drawing, and the listing includes Cyrillic and Russian sets in the same family.

The tone is journalistic and authoritative, fitting newspaper and magazine headlines, article titles, book chapters, reports, certificates and corporate publications. The bold weight works as headings and emphasis over a lighter text companion, and it remains dignified without being ornate. Fine hairlines and fixed letter-spacing mean it benefits from a medium or larger size.
