About the font FrizQuadrataCTT Italic

FrizQuadrataCTT Italic is the Cyrillic-enabled italic of Friz Quadrata, a classic 1960s typeface by Ernst Friz and Victor Caruso. The letters are slightly flared like chiselled inscriptions, with no true serifs, a gentle slant and a calligraphic modulation of the stroke. The capitals are wide and classical in proportion, the lowercase is open and smooth, and the figures are clear and even.

It has a warm, dignified tone between a sans-serif and a serif, which suits magazines, books, restaurant menus, certificates, cosmetics packaging and corporate documents. It reads comfortably in both headings and moderate text sizes, although for very long reading a more conventional text face is easier. Cyrillic is supported, which helps with bilingual layouts.
