About the font Benguiat Bold

Benguiat Bold is a heavy, characterful serif in the spirit of ITC Benguiat, the popular design by Ed Benguiat from 1977, with Cyrillic support. The strokes are bold with swelling curves and sharp, quirky terminals, the capitals have flared, slightly Art Nouveau-flavored forms, and the lowercase has a lively rhythm with a high waist and distinctive joins. The figures are heavy and distinctive.

Benguiat's style has a warm retro look, familiar from 1970s and 1980s posters, magazine headlines and film titles. This bold suits headlines, book and album covers, packaging, signs and posters in Latin and Cyrillic, wherever nostalgic character is wanted. The quirky joins and dense weight make long paragraphs tiring, so keep it for display.
