Anglo Text is a blackletter display face with ornate capitals, drawn with sharp broken strokes, fine hairline flourishes and decorative filigree inside the big initials. The lowercase is small and condensed, so the text reads as a rich row of tall capitals above a small, dense lowercase. In the preview the figures and most signs show as empty boxes, and only Latin letters are listed.
It evokes old English manuscripts, newspaper mastheads, taverns, tattoo lettering and heraldic certificates. It is made for a few words at a time, such as a title or a name, with capitals giving the main effect. The missing figures and punctuation make it unsuitable for dates, prices or running text.
