About the font a_BodoniNova

a_BodoniNova is a Didone serif in the manner of Bodoni, with Cyrillic and Latin: strong contrast between thick vertical stems and hairline strokes, flat hairline serifs, strictly vertical stress and large, round letterforms. The weight is regular, the lowercase is crisp, and the figures are tall and elegant.

The name points to Giambattista Bodoni's late-eighteenth-century types, associated with fashion, luxury and classic editorial design. It looks best at display and large text sizes, where the hairlines stay crisp, for headlines, magazine covers, invitations, books and elegant branding; at very small sizes on low-resolution screens the thin strokes weaken.
