About the font a_BodoniNova Bold

a_BodoniNova Bold is the bold weight of a Bodoni-style Didone serif with Cyrillic support. The contrast between thick vertical stems and hairline horizontals is extreme, the serifs are fine, flat and unbracketed, the capitals are wide and stately, and the lowercase has a vertical stress and ball terminals on some letters. The figures are bold, with strong vertical stems.

The design follows the style of Giambattista Bodoni's late eighteenth-century printing, associated with fashion magazines, theatre posters and elegant book covers. The bold weight suits headlines, mastheads, luxury and fashion branding, posters and titles in Latin and Cyrillic. The hairlines are delicate and disappear in small sizes or on poor screens, so it is for display, not for long text.
