About the font a_Algerius

a_Algerius is a decorative display face in the manner of the old Algerian: Victorian-style capitals with a clear contrast, flared, wedge-like serifs and a slightly engraved look, with the lowercase drawn as small versions of the capitals. The preview shows two lines of capitals, plus figures and punctuation, and Cyrillic is listed; the categories note Decorative.

The type recalls old bank notes, shop windows, theatre bills and heritage inscriptions, so it suits restaurant and bar signs, event posters, wedding and vintage themes and book titles. All-capital settings are hard to read in long lines, so use a few large words at a time.
