About the font A Dark Wedding

A Dark Wedding is a calligraphic blackletter-flavoured display face with a pen-written feel. The capitals are large and ornate, with swashes and curling hairlines that reach across neighbouring letters, while the lowercase is narrow, angular and quick, with the broken strokes of a gothic hand softened by an italic lean. The figures are small and slim. In the preview, a few stray marks appear below the text.

It carries a romantic, mystical and slightly medieval atmosphere, like a fantasy novel cover, a gothic wedding invitation, a tavern sign or a metal band name. It suits titles, invitations, tattoo-style lettering, fantasy game titles and short quotes. The thin pointed strokes need a large size and dark colour; at small sizes or in long text the details blur and the narrow letters become hard to read.
