About the font BlackChancery

BlackChancery is a chancery-style calligraphic face with a pointed-pen look: slanted, narrow letters with long ascenders, flourished capitals and a lively contrast between thin and thick strokes, in the manner of late medieval chancery hands. In the preview several capitals appear as empty boxes, so the set is incomplete and the capitals should be tested before use.

The tone is that of charters, certificates, fantasy maps and medieval-themed invitations. Lowercase text is the strongest part of the font, so use mixed case at a generous size and avoid long runs of capitals. With gaps in the capital set, check every initial of a name before printing. Only Latin letters are covered.
