About the font TimesETX Rus

TimesETX Rus is a very heavy, tightly set serif in the style of Times, pushed to an extra-black weight. The strokes are thick with sharp hairlines left in the serifs and joins, the capitals are wide and solid, and the lowercase is compact with small counters. The figures are broad and strong. It covers both Latin and Cyrillic, as the Rus in the name suggests.

The result looks like a newspaper headline blown up to maximum density. It is suited to big titles, front pages, posters, slogans and short bold statements. At small sizes the counters fill and letters merge, and a whole page of this weight is exhausting, so reserve it for single lines and put lighter text beside it.
