About the font Texas

Texas is a small novelty face whose capitals are set inside dark, map-like silhouettes, so each letter reads as a reversed-out badge, while the lowercase row switches to plain, bold and fairly narrow letters. Digits and punctuation are heavy and simple, and a few symbols are replaced by the same decorative shape. It is listed among fonts from films and the file is very light.

The idea is a sign or a branding stamp: one word set in capitals stands out strongly and has a Wild West or ranch feel. It suits posters, T-shirts, event titles and labels for barbecue and country themes. Mixing the two styles in a single line looks inconsistent, and body text should not be set in it.
