About the font Allegretto Script One

Allegretto Script One is a graceful copperplate script by Fee, written with a pointed pen in the English roundhand tradition. The strokes alternate between hairline upstrokes and gently swelling downstrokes, the letters lean to the right and join in a smooth, rhythmic line, and the capitals carry generous loops without becoming overloaded. The figures follow the same slant.

The name is a musical term for a lively but unhurried tempo, and the writing does have that measured flow. It suits invitations, certificates, wedding stationery, menus, perfume and confectionery labels and short titles, at a comfortable large size and in mixed case, as all capitals break the rhythm of the joins.
