About the font Ralenta Bold

Ralenta Bold is a heavy humanist serif with Latin and Cyrillic. The strokes have a calligraphic, slightly flared build with little contrast, the serifs are short and wedge-like, and the capitals are broad with a lively Q tail. The lowercase is sturdy and open, and the figures are lining.

It has the warm, hand-cut feeling of a book title or a bakery sign rather than the coolness of a Didone. It suits headlines, covers, packaging and short passages in Russian or English. The dense bold weight gets heavy in long paragraphs, so keep text short.
