About the font Proun Bold

Proun Bold is a bold, angular serif-tagged display face with Latin and Cyrillic, in a squarish, constructed style. The letters are built from rectangles with chopped corners and rounded-square counters, heavy and wide, with small, sharp serifs on some letters and a hard geometric rhythm; the lowercase repeats the same blocky forms, and the figures are solid.

The name nods to Proun, El Lissitzky's constructivist abstractions, and the lettering has the look of avant-garde posters and early industrial design. It suits poster titles, logos, book covers, cultural events and techno graphics at large sizes. The chunky, tightly packed forms are tiring for long text, so keep it for short lines.
