About the font Pirate Keg Italic

Pirate Keg Italic is a heavy, slanted, angular display face from the "brand fonts" category, with Latin: chunky capitals with cut and notched corners, wedge terminals and a rugged, slightly rough construction, like lettering stencilled on a barrel. Both rows show capitals, a small skull glyph sits among the symbols, and the figures are bold and slanted.

It evokes pirate ships, rum barrels, tavern signs, skate and band logos and adventure game titles. It is for short words at a large size on dark or wooden backgrounds; the notches clog at small sizes, and with so few symbols and such weight it is not for sentences or long text.
