About the font Mysl

Mysl is a classical old-style serif in the Garamond and Bembo family of Renaissance book faces: bracketed serifs, moderate contrast with soft transitions, a modest x-height, slanted e crossbar and a calm, readable rhythm in text sizes. The preview shows complete Latin capitals, lowercase, figures and punctuation (with one lowercase letter p drawn slightly heavier in the sample), and Cyrillic and Russian letters are included. The name is the Russian word for thought.

It is a text face for books, magazines, long articles, reports, scholarly work and literary projects, where a quiet, bookish colour is wanted. At large sizes it also gives elegant headlines, invitations, certificates and menus. It does not shout, so it suits content rather than slogans.
