About the font Metro Regular

Metro Regular is an elegant Art Deco sans with Latin only, in the style of 1920s and 1930s signage. The letters are light and slender, with high contrast between hairline and normal strokes, geometric round bowls, a pointed A and M, and a long-tailed Q, and the lowercase has a small x-height with tall, flared ascenders. Figures are slender, with a distinctive style.

The look is that of vintage metro and cinema signage, fashion boutiques and jazz-age posters. It suits logos, titles, invitations, packaging and short elegant headlines at a large size, where the fine hairlines survive. At small sizes the thin strokes fade, and in long text the unusual forms slow reading.
