About the font Lumos

Lumos is a small gothic-flavoured display face with sharp, irregular, cut-like strokes: capitals have spiky serifs and uneven, wedge-shaped terminals, and the lowercase row repeats the capital forms in a slightly smaller size. The sample shows an unusual set of extra symbols that look like runes or ornaments, with several marks replaced by odd shapes, so the set is idiosyncratic. It is listed among gothic fonts, in a Latin set; the file is very small, about 12 Kb.

The mood is mysterious, medieval and fantasy-like, suited to book covers, game and film titles in a magical or gothic vein, tabletop role-playing material, tavern and apothecary signs, posters and short logos. It works best at a large size and in short words; long text becomes tiring and the irregular forms reduce legibility. Test the punctuation and symbols you need, and note there is no Cyrillic.
