About the font Kudriashov

Kudriashov is a light, classical text serif with Cyrillic and Latin: thin, moderately contrasting letters with fine, almost flat serifs, generous spacing and a bookish, slightly Didone-like clarity. The lowercase is open and even, and the figures are slender and lining.

The name is a Russian surname, and the design has the feel of a printed book of the mid-twentieth century. It is suited to long reading, literature, essays, academic text and quiet, restrained layouts at ordinary text sizes. The light weight needs good paper or a sharp screen; at very small sizes the thin serifs weaken.
