About the font DS Down Cyr

DS Down Cyr is a rounded, inflated display face drawn as a double outline: every letter is a plump, soft-cornered shape with a thin contour line running inside it, so the glyphs look like blown-up balloons or neon tubing. Capitals and lowercase share one set of forms, and the digits are in the same style. In the preview several punctuation marks appear as empty boxes, so the symbol set is incomplete. Cyrillic is included.

It has a playful, slightly retro-futuristic feel, close to arcade lettering and early computer-game logos. It works for posters, game titles, stickers and short headlines at a large size, where the outline stays legible. At small sizes the inner line fills in, and a long text in this face becomes tiring.
