About the font Countdown

Countdown is a tall, blocky digital face made of rectangular segments with notched corners and small cut-ins, like numbers on an old electronic display or an arcade game. Both rows in the preview are in capitals, the lowercase is drawn in a smaller, similar way, and the figures are bold and angular. Cyrillic and Latin are included.

The retro-tech mood suits game and sci-fi titles, scoreboards, timers, electronic music posters, tech branding and countdown graphics. It reads best at a large size, in short words and numbers. The notched forms get noisy at small sizes, and long sentences in this style are tiring to follow.
