About the font Caslon Plain:001.001

Caslon Plain is a light, wide serif in the spirit of Caslon's old-style roman, with bracketed serifs, moderate contrast and sturdy rounded capitals. The set has lowercase, figures and a Cyrillic alphabet drawn in the same classical manner, so Latin and Russian text sit together evenly.

It has the calm, bookish tone of eighteenth-century printing, a typeface that does not call attention to itself. It suits book covers, certificates, menus, letterheads and body text in print at a normal size. On screens at small sizes the light hairlines are thin, so it is better kept to headings and larger text there.
