About the font Bauhaus-Light

Bauhaus-Light follows the geometric alphabet of the Bauhaus school, in which letters are built from circles, straight lines and compact, almost mechanical shapes. In this preview the strokes are quite heavy, with round bowls, a single-storey a and flat, clipped terminals, and the capitals and lowercase share the same simple geometry. Cyrillic and Latin letters are included.

The forms recall the modernist posters and typography of the 1920s, when designers wanted a clear, universal alphabet without ornament. The face suits headlines, album covers, posters and branding with a retro-modern or design-school accent, and it is best set at display sizes with tight spacing.
