About the font Baskerville Cyrillic Italic

Baskerville Cyrillic Italic is a transitional serif italic in the spirit of John Baskerville's 18th-century types, with a light slant, fine hairlines and sharp, delicate serifs, extended with Cyrillic letters. In the preview many Cyrillic capitals appear as empty squares, so the Cyrillic set is not fully filled, and the Latin part with figures and punctuation looks slim and even.

The mood is bookish and refined, close to a classic novel or a well-printed poetry volume. It suits epigraphs, quotations, captions, invitations and short literary passages. Before using it for Russian text, test every letter you need on screen, because the gaps may break words in the middle.
