About the font Arbat-Bold

Arbat-Bold is a heavy, slanted, wide sans-serif with the look of a broad-nib pen: the strokes swell and narrow, and the letter ends are cut at an angle, so the face seems partway between handwriting and a text type. The lowercase has a lively, bouncing rhythm, and the capitals are wide and slightly flared. The digits and punctuation are drawn in the same casual way.

The name refers to the well-known Arbat street in Moscow, and the face does have a relaxed street-sign charm. It is good for headlines, shop signs, posters, book covers and menus where a confident, friendly accent is needed, and it reads easily in short lines of text.
