About the font Academia Italic

Academia Italic is the slanted style of a classical old-style serif: light, calligraphic letters with moderate contrast, pen-like curves, narrow, sloped capitals and a lowercase that moves in a lively, handwritten rhythm. The figures are old-style in spirit, and the categories list Cyrillic and Russian alongside Latin.

The name and the look suggest universities and scholarly books, and the italic suits emphasis in humanities texts, quotations, poetry, epigraphs, captions, certificates and diplomas, invitations and menus. It reads comfortably at text sizes on paper, and the slim strokes can look fragile at small sizes on screens, so keep it a bit larger there.
