About the font a_OldTyper

a_OldTyper is a slab-serif text face with typewriter character: sturdy, even strokes, rectangular, lightly bracketed slab serifs, broad round letters and a clear, open lowercase, closer to a Clarendon-style design than to a strict monospaced typewriter font. Latin and Cyrillic are both marked, and the category list calls it a typescript font. The preview shows a clean set with plain figures.

The tone is bookish and practical, with a hint of old office documents: reports, notices, certificates, headings, newspaper-style layouts and posters with a retro flavour. It reads well at medium size and holds up in short text blocks. For long reading in small sizes the broad slabs feel heavy, and it lacks the lightness of a book serif.
