About the font Yellowjacket Shadow

Yellowjacket Shadow is a hand-lettered italic with a drop shadow, the kind of casual brush-pen writing seen in comics. The strokes lean to the right, vary a little in weight, and each letter carries a pale offset shadow that makes it appear to float above the page. The preview has capitals, lowercase and figures in the same quick, slightly uneven hand.

The look is energetic and playful, and it suits comic captions, sports and music posters, game titles, stickers and children's packaging. The shadow needs a light background and a large size to stay clean, and it can get muddy when letters are tightly spaced. For long copy a plain variant of the same hand is much easier on the eye.
