About the font Xenia Bold Cyrillic

Xenia Bold Cyrillic is a heavy slab serif with large, square-cut serifs and a sturdy, almost rectangular build. The contrast is low, the capitals are wide and solid, and the lowercase has a generous x-height with clear, open counters. The preview shows both Latin and Cyrillic letters and the figures, drawn in the same blunt, ink-trap-free manner.

It looks like an old newspaper headline or a poster from a printing house, a face built to be seen from across the room. It is most at home in headlines, shop fronts, labels and bold quotes. Its mass is too heavy for body text and works best at larger sizes where the slab serifs can breathe.
