About the font Ukrainian Play

Ukrainian Play is an Art Deco monoline display face: tall, narrow letters of even, thin-to-medium stroke, perfectly round bowls in O and Q, high-set crossbars and elegant, slightly stretched proportions, with a lowercase that repeats the capitals at a smaller height. Latin and Cyrillic are covered, with a Russian set, and the figures match. It is tagged decorative, and no designer is named in the data.

The tone is stylish and theatrical, familiar from jazz-age posters, cinema and playbill lettering, hotel signs and boutique logos. It suits titles, logos, invitations and short headings at a medium or large size. It becomes weak in very small sizes and long lines of tall narrow letters tire the eye, so use it for short text.
