About the font SignPainter'sGothicShadedSC JL

SignPainter's Gothic Shaded SC JL is a small-capital sign-painter's gothic by Jeffrey N. Levine, with a solid drop shadow. The letters are rounded, upright and even in weight, in the plain lettering style of hand-painted signs, and the shadow adds a three-dimensional edge. In the preview several symbols are empty boxes, and only Latin is covered.

It recalls shop windows, ticket booths and vintage advertising. The shadow needs space, so it is best in large, widely set lines such as signs, labels, posters and short titles. In small sizes the shadow fills the gaps and the letters blur together.
