About the font Second Road

Second Road is a connected script with a lively, pen-written look. The strokes have a slight contrast of thick and thin, the capitals are tall and swung with generous flourishes, and the lowercase is narrow, leans forward and joins neatly. Figures are slanted in the same way. The sample shows both Latin and Cyrillic, as the category list says.

It reads like confident everyday handwriting from a fountain pen, brisk rather than ornate. It suits short greetings, signatures, cards, restaurant and shop signs, and headings in a personal voice. All capitals look cramped and spoil the joins, and long passages tire the eye, so set it in mixed case at a comfortable size.
