About the font SchoolBook Bold Italic

SchoolBook Bold Italic is the bold italic of a Century Schoolbook-style text serif: sturdy, wide, with strong contrast, bracketed serifs and an even, sloped rhythm designed for clarity. The italic keeps the open, readable forms of the roman rather than turning calligraphic, the figures are lining and clear, and Cyrillic is covered together with Latin.

The tone is friendly, educational and trustworthy, close to textbooks and readers. It suits emphasis within schoolbook-like text, subheads, quotes, captions and informational publications. For display work it lacks personality, and in very long passages bold italic is heavy and best used sparingly.
