Rafika is a heavy stencil sans-serif by Ray Larabie. The wide, geometric capitals are interrupted by thin bridges, so each letter looks as if it had been cut from metal through a template, and the lowercase repeats the same shapes in a smaller size. Several of the figures and symbols are shown in decorative forms, including a target-like ring and a small barcode-style badge.
The military, industrial and street-art flavour fits crates, posters, game and music branding, sneakers and technology packaging. The gaps are best seen at large sizes, and a little extra spacing keeps them from blurring together in a line.
