About the font Penta

Penta is a flared sans serif in the manner of Optima and Lithos: the capitals are wide and classical, and the strokes swell slightly toward the ends without any real serifs. The lowercase is unusual, with small-cap-like forms and a few taller letters, and the Q has a distinctive tail. Cyrillic is included.

The effect is chiselled and a little theatrical, like letters cut in stone for a cinema or a boutique. It looks best in capitals and short lines at a large size; the small-cap lowercase is awkward in running text, so avoid setting paragraphs in it.
