About the font NewBaskerville Cyrillic Bold

NewBaskerville Cyrillic Bold is the bold weight of a Baskerville-style transitional serif with Cyrillic support. The strokes have a refined contrast between thick and thin, with sharp, nearly flat serifs and a vertical stress, the capitals are wide and stately, and the lowercase is open and well proportioned. The figures are lining and robust.

The typeface follows the tradition of John Baskerville's eighteenth-century printing, known for its clarity and elegance, and the bold weight adds presence without losing refinement. It suits headings, subheads, book titles, newspapers, magazines and emphasis within running text, in Latin and Cyrillic. In very small sizes the thin parts of the bold become fragile, so give it a little room.
