About the font Metropol 95

Metropol 95 is an Art Deco-style sans with an elegant, high-fashion look: light, flared strokes that thicken slightly toward the ends, a wide, geometric build, a graceful Q with a long tail and a low, narrow crossbar in the E and the A. Capitals and lowercase are both drawn, with old-style rhythm in the figures, and Latin and Cyrillic are included.

The tone is cosmopolitan, theatrical and a little vintage, recalling cinema posters of the 1920s and 1930s, hotel signage and cosmetics packaging. It works well for fashion and lifestyle headlines, restaurant and cafe branding, invitations, posters and short logos at a large size. The thin strokes need contrast and space, and in long text the Deco quirks tire the eye, so keep it for titles.
