About the font Maus

Maus is a 3D block face by James Arboghast: heavy, squarish capitals with a thick extruded depth and a pale highlight on the front, so each letter looks like a solid slab sitting on the page. The lowercase repeats the capitals, the figures are bold and angular, and the punctuation is complete. Only Latin letters are listed.

The heavy, dimensional look suits game and film titles, sports and tech posters, industrial and arcade styles, T-shirts and headlines that need a punch. It works best large, in short words, with a darker background where the shadow reads. At small sizes the depth blurs, and the wide spacing needed to see each block makes long lines tiring.
