About the font MADFONT

MADFONT is a heavy slab-serif capitals face in the Western tradition. The letters are wide and black, with thick block serifs, strong stress and slightly irregular edges that look like wood type from the nineteenth century. The preview shows capitals only, since lowercase letters repeat the same forms, and figures follow the same heavy build. No designer is named in the data.

It calls up saloon signs, wanted posters, rodeo flyers and old-fashioned packaging. It is made for large headlines, titles and logos in capitals, where the dense forms keep their character. At small sizes the counters fill in, and long sentences are tiring, so keep it to a few words.
